Robert's Project History

Vista

1993-1994 — Knowledge Access International, Inc.

Introduction

Designed and developed Vista, an industrial machine vision client application for Microsoft Windows. The Vista application connected to the machine vision system via a serial port and provided configuration and monitoring functions to the system.

Development

Designed and implemented the high-speed multiple-session error-control protocol for a 68302 embedded controller and a Windows DLL with a single code set. Also designed and implemented the entire Windows application using Microsoft Visual C++ 1.5. The application featured dialogs whose controls would interact with the embedded system in real-time, as well as some unique palette management tricks, and totaled over 25,000 lines of code.

Technologies

  • C++, MFC, GUI
  • Visual C++, 16-bit
